Dear All,

I have one webe application for the user to extarct the data by login/logoff.

Now , I need to trace each and every user who when and what they extracted from application.

i had captured the details of user on their login/logoff but need to capture what filter they selected and which report they downloaded.

Please help here !!

There are different ways to implement the same:

Step1: Store username/user id in session variable(when user will login)

Step2: Create a function which will receive username and page info details(what download, which page). This function will insert data to database. As a suggestion make this function async and await.

Step3: Call the above function wherever you need. And pass required information.

Try to save the details on click of mouse or button (action) in database. Like of user selected from drop down list then use. SelectedIndex or Selectedvalue and open database connection and pass these values. Or else save all the details in generic lists and click on submit button (Final button) pass these values to the database.
