Hi

In SPFx  to run a app in a site, there is no need to pass a site url in the webpart to deploy the webpart other than the webpart location specification.

 

Buit currently that is also not needed. So, there is no need to provide a url in the solution to run the app using SPO Workbench or deploy in a site.

Use the below link to create a SPFx webpart,

To test the webpart, use the workbench https:///_layouts/workbench.aspx

 

To add the webpart to the SharePoint site, we have to upload the .sppkg package to the App Catalog and deploy it. Then we have to add the SPFx app in SharePoint site from "Add an App".

 

Then add the webpart to the SharePoint page.
