Follow below steps 1)Logon to each farm server using the farm account in the following order: Central Admin Search, App Servers WFEs 2)Run PSConfig with the following command syntax: Get-SPProduct -Local Psconfig.exe -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait 3)Reboot each server after the installation completes. Response ii) Patching is for the SP farm, irrespective of internal or external sites.
