sql developer
working as sql server developer since 7-8 yrs...but have limited exposure to technology, single handedly implemeted complex business rule in stored procedure.... not getting much opportunity

As i mentioned in an article "Companies are for earning profits >> for earning profits they organize people, get job done >> for getting job done, they MIGHT expose people to new technology, skills.. So we cannot guarantee all works will fetch CAREER VALUE & SELF ACTUALIZATION. So this is purely out of our control.
In the control side, i would say we have to chase our passion. We can choose our free time to learn new sql server skills like SSIS, SSRS, do a certification, find industrial trends.. You can start a blog & write articles, in this way you learn, help & progress.
Talking about "opportunity" as outside opportunities, i would say if you research on "in-demand" sql server skills & invest there, you can get best opportunities.

you can work as a DBA if you have exposure on Database Side.
