sql server login problem

Hi buddy,

I'm getting error while logging into sql server application.(2008 R2 edition). I had a default instance

and I tried for

server name = 1. SQLEXPRESS,

2. (LOCAL)

3. (local)\SQLEXPRESS

4. 127.0.0.1

but failed.

Desplayed error: network related specific instance occer while establishing this connection.......

Pls help.

hello,

i think your services is not start.

so go to services and find MsSqlServer OR SQLEXPRESS and start it.
then after restart your computer and start Sql Server

win + r => services.msc => Enter

1. Open SQL server configuration manager
2. Click on Sql Server Services
3. Please show me screen shot of that one.

I think that you had installed only management? studio and not the sql server instance. Do install an Sql server instance and make sure that its service is running then you can login by . (Dot) or .\sqlexpress. as per instance installed. Good Luck

Bro install the sql server express 2012, it will solve this problem if not,

Check TCP/IP is enabled for that instance in configuration manager.

hi try this below
go to run(win key + R)
type services.msc
ok

then you can see one window

in that search
SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER)

check status for this, if this is running. if not then
right click on that select start.

Hi Harish,

try to restart your SQL Server(SQLEXPRESS) service.
start -run-write services... then you can find SQL Server(SQLEXPRESS)

that will help you.
