Updating Date Column Using a Select DATEADD() parameter

Hello everyone, I needed assistance once more.

I would like to update a date column from my sql server database using a DATEADD parameter. Below is my query and says 628 rows affected but when I checked the column, nothing has been updated.

Hey please check your select query this may return null value.

Hi,

You are check startdate with getdate () in your where condition should not match.

Because startDate format is yyyy-MM-dd and getdate format is yyyy-MM-dd hh-mm-ss

You need yo convert getdate()
like a.startDate = convert(varchar, getdate(), 23)
