Uploading a Image File to a DataBase

Somebody know how to upload a Image File to a DataBase. The file is selceted by the user by a OpenFileDialog. if (OpenFileDialog1.Show()==DialogResult.Ok) { Image img = Image.FromFile(OpenFileDialog1.FileName) //Uploading img to the DataBase } I have the next wrong code to Upload img to the DataBase: SqlCommand InsertCommand = new SqlCommand("INSERT TO MyTable (ImageColumn) VALUES (@Image)",MyConnacetion); InsertCommand.Parameters.Add("@Image",img); //This line throws an error MyConnection.Open(); InsertCommand.ExecutQuery(); MyConnection.Close(); When I add the paremeter, the next exception is thrown: "Index (zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list." Any Idea? Thanx in advance.

Tnak you de henny, you are right, but first, I have to show the image in the PictureBox and later read it. So, when I want to read it, an exception is thrown couse the image is shown in the PictureBox. How to dispose it from the PictureBox. I tried this: PictureBox1.image=null; //and this: PictureBox1.dispose(); but the exception is still thrown. Any idea? Thanx.

U have to read the image into the imgData[] first with something like imgStream.read(imgData[],startindex,endindex) Now close the filestream that is why u are getting the exception. imgStream.Close(). That should clear the exception. goodluck

I found the next code to upload the image: FileStream imgStream = new FileStream(ImagePath,FileMode.Open); long DataLength = imgStream.Length; byte[] imgData = new byte[DataLength]; SqlCommand InsertCommand = new SqlCommand("INSERT TO MyTable (ImageColumn) VALUES (@Image)",MyConnacetion); InsertCommand.Parameters.Add("@Image",imgData); MyConnection.Open(); InsertCommand.ExecutQuery(); MyConnection.Close(); Before I upload the image I show it in a PictureBox And now throws the next exception: The process cannot access the file "C:\SipidermanFace.bmp" because it is being used by another process. could Somebody helps me please!!
