user roles preserved after logout

I've encountered a situation where when I logout and login using a new user credentials, the former access roles are still being preserved. I am using the Identity API, installed from Visual Studio when I start the project and I don't use cookies

The error I had was coming from a different source. I have several buttons, all with conditions. One condition not functioning properly was
if (PTWContent != null && UserDataList.Any(s => s.RoleName == "PTWIssuer") && PTWContent.Issuer == username && PTWContent.PTWStatus == "Initiated" || PTWContent.PTWStatus == "IsoCert-C" || PTWContent.PTWStatus == "Approved")
                {
                    PTWIssueTrue = true;
                }
because the || should have been between their own brackets like below
if (PTWContent != null && UserDataList.Any(s => s.RoleName == "PTWIssuer") && PTWContent.Issuer == username && (PTWContent.PTWStatus == "Initiated" || PTWContent.PTWStatus == "IsoCert-C" || PTWContent.PTWStatus == "Approved"))
                {
                    PTWIssueTrue = true;
                }
I've checked all and now is working properly. I just have to pay more attention on syntax

No, the role will not be preserved, and obviously, you will have to use cookies,
_signinmanager.signIn() // in identity creates a cookie which we term as logging in.
web app= cookie-based authentication.
web api= Token-based authentication.

without cookies how would you know, if the same user is navigating on the pages or some different user?
