What is the scope of Asp.Net & Web Development?

From the beginning, .NET is always changing and improving as a platform. Since .NET Core platform grows on regular basis, definitely it has its own bright space in future. The amount of changes happening and the speed at which they are delivered, may cause some difficulties along the way. There’s certainly an exciting future ahead for .NET as it’s cross-platform, Open Source and full of features, as one would expect from a modern set of tools and languages.

Benefits:

• The .NET Core platform provides significant performance benefits as compared to the traditional .NET Framework

• .NET Core has been well-adopted outside Microsoft and benefits from strong community involvement

• .NET Core benefits from a server-centric design that is not Windows-focused

• .NET Core is now a stable platform suitable for new application development

• Easy to Learn

• Modern Language Features

• Versatility: Web, Mobile, Server, Desktop

• Awesome Developer Tools

• Standardization of Skills

• .NET Core is Open Source

The problem with many of the existing programming languages is they are good at one use case. Ruby and PHP are awesome for web application Swift or Objective C are great for creating IOS or MAC application. If you wanted to write a background service you could use Python, Java, or other languages. Besides C#, JavaScript and Java may be the only languages that can be applied to a wide set of use cases. It is hard for me to apply my skills to a broad set of problems if I have to learn many programming languages. It limits my job opportunities. The awesome thing about .NET Core is the wide versatility of it and that it can be used for a wide variety of applications. Now with .NET Core working on Mac OS and Linux, there truly is no limit to what you can do
