hey Suthish, superb idea but i can't find much time to write some quality articles because of KSOU Examinations duty are on progress.

After 27/07/2011, I'll be free or find time, even if I have a lappy then maybe I can write or read something at duty time too.

Is lappy's are only for programming purpose...?

I can give you an example regarding Hard disk space...

In future you want to working on MOSS..we have to virtualize the OS means OS in OS..
So you have to give some space to windows server OS....

some days back i had 160 gb hd... but when creating OS in OS i allocate half of the space to MOSS(2nd OS)
(same way SHARING processor also).
when i run the moss application..it slows down...

There is nothing wrong,if the configuration is high end...

likewise requirements will change time to time...

we cannot predict anything about future.....But i'm sure .net framework will not asks for 250 GB HD space.

Entertainment (movies or gaming) on laptop or computer is not my choice. i'm using 160 GB Hard Disk at my room PC, and I never think it is less. But Yes, if next release of .NET framework will come with unexpected size (160GB) then, I must need 320GB or higher Hard Disks. 

I'm sure to buy mini having 250GB hard disk.

Hi, battery backup is doen't depends on lappy size...
Dell and  HP are good...
you said 250 GB is enough for you...in future u will feel like if 500 GB would fine for you...
This is my personal experience..Think once before you buy it......

you replied a better suggestion, but it has something extra feature that I don't need like, 320GB Hard Disk (250 GB will be max for me), I don't need Graphics Media, I don't need office starter 2010 even.

Suggest me which brand I should choose:
i) Dell
ii) HCL (Is HCL good?)
iii) HP
iv) Compaq
v) Acer
vi) Zenith

I can tell you the acer is very good option... my friend is using it...its really good.
But my openion is buy atleast 14 inch laptops...
if we use 10 inch laptops one day we'll feel like.. why i didn't buy a big one....
