Why should marks be a criterion for selection?

One should not be judged on basis on marks at all.

Everybody have some knowledge or the other and yes I do agree that companies should change their methods of hiring.

Instead of marks, they should concentrate more on candidate's interest and knowledge.

But, in today's world, companies see only profit and loss. They do not understand any other thing at all.

I don't think companies need to change the criteria of candidate selection in their organization because most of the time they judge the candidate's sincerity from the marks they obtained.But if you think less marks are preventing you to get a good job then be patience may be you deserve more than you are expecting, and that ll be on the way .
