It simply means to work with all the devices. Now people are using mobiles and tabs for accessing the web. So you just cannot force the users to use your website in a desktop or PC. If you do so, they will simply leave your site. It is important that we create a website design to satisfy users so that users can visit your site on any device.

As a matter of fact, it is important that our websites load faster too. It should not make our users wait for a long period. You can get some tips here. It cannot just continue to load.
Share your website links on Social Media
We all write posts/article/blogs and so on, but that is not enough. You need to share your links on social media. You can share it to nearly all the social media networks wherever you have an account. The most useful social media communities are the following:

Be active on Social Media

Since our website is accessible to the entire world, we must have an option to translate our contents to the user's language. If you are using Wordpress, you can find many plugins related to that. In this way you can make your site more readable. As more users become active in your website, the things will go good for you.
Active in forums
These days there are very many forums available. You can choose depending on your passion and profession. I am active on C# Corner, Code Project and ASP.Net forums. And do not forget to include your website links to your forum signature too.
Include Meta Data and Meta Description
Google crawls your website depending on the meta data and meta description you provide to each post. So you must set the meta data and meta description in all of your pages or posts. If you use Wordpress then there is a plugin called All In One SEO . I recommend that.
Always check your site metrics
It is recommended that you check your site metrics regularly. You can either use google.com/analytics or http://www.alexa.com/. I recommend both.

When you check your metrics, you can get some suggestions on what you must do to make your website more efficient. I assume that you do not use Tumblr but it should be added to the list of Social Media. Also the MSDN and StackOverflow forums should be added to the list of forums. One problem with the StackOverflow forums is that they are not the nicest, especially when you want to help, but there are very many very knowledgeable people that do provide help.

Helpful tip indeed. But, I would try to pay more homage to social networks for this sake. Facebook, Twitter, Google+ are a great resource sharing networks and you can indeed get a great audience from there. Apart from that, Search Engines play a great role in this stream, for example the keywords that you apply. Content that you share, alternate text (alt attribute) that you apply to your elements. Many more... :)
