Why should a client choose or go for MVC pattern over ASP.NET ?

I know the benefits from developer point of view. But how a client can choose ?

What are the benefits does the client can get if his application was developed by MVC rather than ASP.Net ?

1- TDD functionality ,So client can modify designing in future without change of code.

2-It is navigate from root tables instated file searching .So it is first rendering

3- A multiple view engines support like razor and so many advance options

some points that they know are
Easy integration with JavaScript frameworks.

Light Weight: MVC pages are lighter as compared to webforms as they don't carry bulky viewstate with them

No ViewState and PostBack events

Server Performance: Using HTML and HTML helpers put less load on the server as compared to server controls in webforms. (HTML helpers are tags which are converted to HTML controls without much server load).

Better Page Load Time: Without viewstate, server controls and page life cycle events page load time in less in MVC as compared to webforms.

SEO friendly URLs: Though we can do URL rewriting in Webforms but in MVC, it is as simple as adding a tag in your code to have that as URL.

Enables Test Driven Development (TDD)

I don't think so, that we can make a client to look over MVC by stating the below point as you said :
"In MVC there is HTML helper, but asp.net has server control".

But the anothe one which you stated related to the "Open-source" is some what fine.

For the points you stated as like below :

MVC Architecture -- Can get with ASP.Net too
Great routing support -- Can get with ASP.Net too
Authentication and Authorization -- Can get with ASP.Net too
Support of Entity Framework ---- Can get with ASP.Net too
Can achieve high scalability and performance -- For this point how can you prove to client will you show any statistics ?

Can be done even with ASP.Net too

Hello

But we are not the client, the client's mentality will be always different from person to person

If I am the client then ill choose MVC over Asp.net web form because :

MVC Architecture
Great routing support
Authentication and Authorization
Support of Entity Framework
Can achieve high scalability and performance

So these are some primary points as per my point of view
