Completely depressed,finding no solution,kindly advice

Hello,

With the hope that i shall get proper advice writing here few words.
I completed BE in 2007(at the age of 26) tried a lot for job but failed. Took 6 yrs to complete BE. (Chemical) With no interest in it. After completing BE i did some course in Software like i learnt c#,dot net but unfortunately no good institute where i stay and my parents cant afford to spend more again. Have no support of parents now.tried to find job to support myself but no use. All this failures has made me lose interest in everything. Now i don`t feel like doing anything as i have lost confidence in myself. A small success can lift my spirits but my life has become stagnant. I need to earn atleast to support myself in future if i have to live. Failed one suicide attempt 5 yrs back .. How do i make my career??? I am losing interest and i have no time and age with me, now i am 30. Every minute i am living in hell.

Rekha,
You are lucky as you have a BE. Once I joined IT nearly 2000, a recussion was there and I could able to get a job with a mere graduation. I was never good in academic. It's very critical to avoid below situations understanding your past events.
1. Don't sit alone. It wil make you keep thinking and fill with negative thoughts
2. Always be out or talk with somebody like your parents, friends.
3. When ever feeling idle, engage in something
Also last but not least, send your resume to [email protected] . Remember, every one is special, but some people can't recognize them self and need others help to find it. We are doing that 4 U.

Unfortunately, we dot any resources in anywhere else but NOIDA. What you could do is, make a team of 2-3 friends and probably live and work together to share the expenses. We can even think about helping a team (3-4), if you all plan to move to NOIDA. You could get a shared apartment and if work hard, within 6 months, you learn more, get a better job and you will be own your feet.

As i told i have no relatives or anyone who can support me. I am all on my own. At the most i can move to bangalore if i get a job.

Hi Rekha, sorry I missed this thread. First thing, you have done good is, by sharing your problem with us.

I agree with Dhanajay! We are here to help. We are not a big company but we can find you something so you can get on your feet. Yes, MCN may have some work for you.

Are you interested in moving to Noida (Delhi area)? Do you have any friends or relatives there that can help you to stay for a few months?

On the other note, I think this is a good start. I have been thinking about this for a while. I wanted to start the Mindcracker Foundation where any body can contribute to it. This foundation will help people like Rekha to support get on their feet.

So the thing that concerns you is that you want to be successful so you can return to your parents what they have done for you and you are concerned that there is not much time left to do that. I think those are all valid concerns. I think it is a difficult position to be in. I am sure that many people have said many things to try to help you feel better but the thing you need is for someone to take the time to listen and understand. I wish I had more time. I hope someone here does. It is late in the day for me and I hope this is the beginning of conversations with you and many others.

I think people need to understand about your feelings about your parents. That is very important to you, correct? How are your parents doing?

Hi Sam,

I have already done something which i was not interested and wasted time. Want to do what i am interested but not getting an opportunity..I need to work to support myself. How long are my parents going to be with me? After they are gone forever i have no one So i need to work and i want to work where i am interested so that i can give my best.

Be patient. It will work. Of course I know it is very easy to say that and not so easy to do. If you get experience with chemistry then you will be in a better position to ask for work that will have opportunity for programming too. That combination I think would work. A small company might be good as Vijay said but a large company might have more opportunity.

If you have a job as a Chemist then don't be discouraged after just a year. More experience will help. I hope others will agree.

The thing I don't know about is your personal life. Many people have jobs they don't like but they do them. I hope you are not dependent on your job to be happy. I hope you can be with people that appreciate you. I hope you enjoy other things outside of work.

Hi Sam,

After appearing for engineering entrance i had no other option but to take chemical engineering.(had nothing else in mind except for studying engineering that time and aspired to be a good software engg) Some people adviced that i can take a change of branch after 1st yr. But unfortunately i got stuck in that branch since the HOD did not let me take a change of branch since chemical branch intake was very less that time. Required was atleast 25 students but that yr intake was 19.. But i did not give up hopes and did some software courses and learnt programming and dot net only to know that unless i have work exp i wont get a job..

Thanks a lot for replying, as we all were awaiting for your reply.

As Sam said it is difficult to get a job without experience and it is difficult to get experience without a job. As you know dotnet, start with small a company take a good experience then search for big one. I would suggest try some consultancy also, that may help you too to go get the job. If we would found any opening we would let you know, just inform us in which city you are looking for.

Can you tell us why you chose Chemistry? I just want to understand. I am not criticizing or anything like that.

Yes, it is a dilemma. It is difficult to get a job without experience and it is difficult to get experience without a job. I can't help much about a job; when I started as a programmer, there was lots of opportunity but there is much less opportunity for programmers now. So I am not sure what advice to give.

Thanks everybody. Since i was never interested in Chemical field i completed it wit lots of difficulties and did not score well .. I tried to get a job in teaching field but they want Phd and post graduates which i am not. I learnt dot net tried to find job but they want exp people.. From where do i get experience unless i am given a chance to work.. I have tried and still trying but not getting a job even in IT field. I dont know what to do. Time is running out of my hands.

What do you want to do, Rekha? You say you learned chemistry but you have no interest in that. Did your parents tell you to do that? It is unfortunate that they did not listen to what you want. That can be a big problem. Do you want to be a programmer? Is that your choice? I assume that you don't want to be a programmer either. That is understandable. You need to find people that you can be honest with and that will listen and be understanding. You are smart. If you allow yourself to do what you want to do then you will be good at it.

Why you living in past. You know its bouncing hard on you, then why not try to forgot past and start a new life.

Start again, try with Microsoft Certifications its the fast way to gain knowledge and refresh your skills.

Also give exams for Microsoft Certifications will helpful for new job openings.

You can get help from here also. Lots of members here will give you any support through forums etc..

Everyone have bad phases, that doesn't means its the end of the world. But don't live with it.

So keep smiling, try hard, you will be A successful person in life soon. Start today !

And important thing dont forgot the past (good or bad), will helpful for you future.

Because experience matters, we can learn lots of things from our pasts :)

Hi Rekha,
As you said you lost interest and no support from your parents then good option is to start with teaching(Programming or your other interest) in schools, colleges,institutes etc. as you are good qualified. As of now i would suggest you should start with this and you will gain confidence back once again. In this also there many opportuities and You will get good success, hope for the best!!!!! :)

Why you are thinking like this think positive in hyderabad many good institute is there with cheap course fees and they are providing one of the best .net faculties if you want to learn .net with experts then hyderabad is a best option for you,and i m praying god that you will get good job soon.
