how to add custom headers in http request

sorry for late reply. i got the soluation, actually i was using string dictionary in my helper class soo when i pass like below code it works for me

var headers = new Dictionary

{

{"HeaderName", "Values"}

};

Can you share your code of adding header and calling the web api service?

Also mention which line of code is giving the error.

Hi Catcher,

i tried given code but getting the error says cannot convert 'system.collections.specialized.namevaluecollection' to 'system.collections.generic.Idictionary'

What is the use case here? Are you calling a WebService or API using HttpRequest?

What kind of custom headers you are talking about?

you can try this before you send the request :

NameValueCollection headers = HttpContext.Current.Request.Headers;
//add a header
headers.Add("New Header", "New Value");
