ModalPopup Extender

Question

I am using an ajax modalpopup extender,i have an if condition inside which it displays modalpopup if the condition is true.After the popup is displayed i want to go to next line of code after the if statement,but in my case the next line of code is not executed,how could this be done,I am stuck upon this.
